In Good Company: Lydia Sprayberry
Lydia Sprayberry serves as a Lead Coordinator for our Client Acquisition Team in our Alpharetta office! She was born in Macon, GA and moved to Dublin, GA when she was 5 years old and has grown up there since. Graduating from Georgia Southern University, Lydia joined Mark Spain Real Estate in the year of 2017. As a Lead Coordinator, Lydia goes above and beyond to ensure we provide an unparalleled client experience. We couldn’t be happier to have her on our team, and we are so excited to be highlighting her talents!
Tell us about you, Lydia Sprayberry! Where were you born, what do you enjoy in your free time?
I was born in Macon, and my family moved when I was 5 to Dublin, where I grew up. Once I graduated high school, I moved to Statesboro to attend Georgia Southern University.
In my free time, I really enjoy hanging out with my friends. We like to plan a variety of outings like visiting local breweries, tubing the Chattahoochee, going kayaking, or even just getting together to play games and enjoy each others’ company.
When and how did you become a part of MSRE?
I heard of MSRE from a friend. She told me about the culture, and how it was one of the best places she had ever worked, and that she knew the company was growing and in a hiring phase. She was able to connect me with Eric Lutz for an opening in the ISA department. We spoke on the phone briefly in August 2017, and I officially joined the team just a few weeks later. This position has been my first in the real estate world; I am coming up on my 2 years with the company!
Why Mark Spain Real Estate?
I was in need of a major life change, my previous job had burnt me out and I wanted to be with a company where I could come in and be passionate about my work every day. Hearing about Mark Spain Real Estate’s culture and emphasis on a work-life balance, I knew that this would be the perfect opportunity for that change. Going in, I knew this would definitely be a company that I could thrive in and continue to grow with.
What is your favorite part about the people you work with?
It’s absolutely our culture! Everyone is so vibrant and enjoyable to be around. They have such a positive attitude! The environment we create here is one where everyone is willing to step in and help each other. I love that it encompasses everyone, someone is always checking to make sure others feel included.
What are your passions in life outside of work?
Outside of work, I like to travel when I can and try new things; most often food. (My favorite is pasta, if you have a good recipe let me know!!!) I’ve seen a good bit of the US but my next adventure will be in August when I will be taking my first trip out of the country to Japan!
What is a hidden talent that you have?
I have the uncanny ability to help people find things. If you’ve lost it, chances are I can find it in under 10 minutes.
Who inspires you in life?
I am inspired by the people I see daily. To see others around me grind it out every day and get to where they want to be encourages me to want that for myself! I have big goals and just by watching the others around me, I know that I will achieve them. Speak it into existence, and make it happen!
Tell us about the friendships you’ve made at MSRE.
The friendships I have made since working at MSRE are endless. Some of them have become my closest friends. We celebrate our wins together, we encourage each other and we hang out together! The people I work with are amazing, we always have a great time when we’re together. I don’t know where I would be without them! Working with great people really does have such a positive impact on your life.
What are you looking forward to this year, Lydia Sprayberry?
I am looking forward to growth, change, and opportunity. The year is barely halfway over, and I feel like its been two years crammed into one already! A lot has happened that I’ve been so fortunate to grow from. I have been taken out of my comfort zone multiple times, and each time I have shown myself that I have the ability to adapt regardless of what’s thrown at me. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store and I can’t wait to continue to improve!
