19 Ways to Achieve Your Goals in 2019

Say goodbye to 2018 and hello to 2019! It’s time to embrace the new year and all of its possibilities – get ready to tackle all of your goals in 2019. Whether you’re looking to reach a new milestone in your career or master a new skill, we have 19 ways to ensure that you achieve your goals this upcoming year.
First things first: decide what you want to achieve this year. Set your goals and put write down on paper to make your milestones tangible and concrete. Share your goals with an accountability partner to help focus on them even more.
Sometimes it can be difficult to accomplish your goals if you don’t have a purpose. If you haven’t found what truly motivates you, dedicate time to think about your values and why you do the things that you do. Finding a purpose or “Big Why” for achieving your goals will make you 10 times more motivated!
Make sure that you set reasonable expectations for yourself. Don’t expect to be able to run a marathon within a month, but maybe map out how you can work up to a 5K or half marathon by summer. Make your goals tough enough that you stretch yourself but not so unreachable that you break.
Do everything you do with a purpose. Be intentional with your time and actions, and you’ll be unstoppable. If you are known to be unorganized, consider choosing a certain day of the week to map out what you want and who to focus on the following week.
As the old saying goes, if at first you don’t succeed, try, try again! Nobody is perfect, so don’t sweat it if you end up getting a little off-track from your goals. Just regroup and stay positive!
Begin the new year by starting a new, healthy habit. Maybe it’s making your bed in the morning, or maybe it’s exercising three times a week! Whatever it is, the start of the year is a great opportunity to turn a new leaf that will make a big impact down the road.
Plan out your week in advance! Find what works for you – whether it is having everything blocked on your calendar app or physically written down in a special planner. Knowing the things that you need to accomplish each week will help you plan for success. Time blocking will help you remember what you need to do, as well as help you visualize what your upcoming week will look like and where your time will be spent.
Get out of your comfort zone and try something new! We don’t grow when we’re comfortable. Change things up and try new experiences this year. Whether it’s travel, food, work, exercise, family, friends, faith or all of the above, try something that scares you – just a little!
Make time for yourself this year! Whether you simply take 30 minutes to sit down with a book, or decide to take a weekend and do nothing but relax, take a break from the hustle and bustle around you and spend some time relaxing.
Give some thought to your values. What is most important to you? Time with family? Having fun with friends? Being present with your kids? Align your values with your tasks at hand and prioritize what you need to accomplish. This will make the most of your time and planning will come much easier!
Sometimes when everything seems to be going our way, we end up being complacent with where we are. No matter what, there is always room for improvement, growth and change! Always seek more.
Giving back to others is one of the most rewarding ways to help our local community. Take some time to give to others who are less fortunate. Whether it’s donating to a food pantry or volunteering with a nonprofit, choose something you care about.
Create a savings goal for yourself this year. Whether it’s $5 a week or $50 a day, make a promise to yourself that you’ll put away a bit of money each week into your savings. When the end of the year rolls around, you’ll be surprised by how much you actually saved!

Consider taking a break from all of the white noise that comes along with social media. Take some time away from what’s on the web so you can stay focused on your goals and what is important to you this upcoming year.
Whether it’s mental, emotional or physical, focus on your personal well-being this year. Drink plenty of water, get lots of rest, stay active and take time for your mental health. Your body will thank you!
Get a solid routine going to start off 2019. Set a routine of waking up early, accomplishing your tasks and going to bed at a decent time. What may feel hard at first will pay off in the long run.
Be thankful for what you have. If you’re ever feeling discouraged, just remember how much you have and be grateful for it! Make use of what you have by always looking to improve yourself and help others.
Last but certainly not least, have fun! Enjoy yourself for this year, and don’t sweat the little things. After all, enjoying the work you put into life is what it’s all about!
