One of our most recent promotions was former Stockbridge Associate Director of Sales, Candis Lowery’, promotion to Director of Sales, Stockbridge.

We are proud to honor and highlight Candis for this promotion! Candis Lowery joined us as a Listing Consultant in November 2018, received a promotion to Associate Director of Sales in October of 2020, and started in her new role as Director of Sales of Stockbridge on September 1st!

Tell us about you, Candis! Where were you born, and what do you enjoy in your free time?

I was born here in Atlanta and grew up in Fayette County, I moved to Newnan after high school graduation in 2001 from Sandy Creek (Go Patriots!) and have lived in Coweta County ever since. I am a Mom of 3 teenagers and in my free time, I love to run. I have completed 10 marathons over the years and countless other distances. Not so much distance anymore but the sport allows me to clear my head and start my day off on the right foot. I also enjoy reading and any kind of water sport.

When and how did you become a part of Mark Spain Real Estate?

I have a cool story! Back in Feb of 2018, when I was with Keller Williams, I co-op’ed with an amazing Mark Spain Real Estate Listing Consultant at the time Sherron Lavender. Fast forward to that October, she was promoted to Director of Sales. She remembered her experience working with me and thought I would be a good fit to join her listing team. After a few meetings with her, I traded my Keller Williams name badge for a Mark Spain Real Estate one! The timing of it all really was Heaven sent!

How long have you been involved in real estate and where?

I started my career in real estate in 2017 with Keller Williams Atlanta Partners PTC. I went solo for a while, then being super hungry for more opportunity and experience, I joined a top producing team, The Wilson/Corley Group.  I gained a lot of knowledge working with that group of people in a relatively short amount of time. My sales team then landed a contract with Liberty Communities where I started selling new construction. 

Why Mark Spain Real Estate?

Oh my goodness, why not? Training, a team to lean on, and leads.. not just leads but booked appointments! One of the hardest things in this business is “who are you going to sell to?” Mark Spain Real Estate provides you the opportunity and all the training you need to convert that person to a client.

What have you learned the most from working at Mark Spain Real Estate?

So much! Through script practice with my teammates, I was really able to hone my sales chops here. Also, the importance of reading to further my negotiating, communication, and relationship-building skills. Also, l cannot leave out, I learned the power and importance of effective follow-up. 

What are your passions in life outside of work?

I love giving back to the community that I am involved in. I am an Army Wife and my family and I are heavily involved in organizations that give back to Veterans and their families, such as the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Combat Veterans organization. We have hosted numerous fundraising events to raise money for Veterans and other organizations that support veterans, like the WW project, American Legion, and Camp Southern Ground Warrior Week program. 

Who inspires you in life?

I have a few people who inspire me really! Narrowing it down, my Father in Law, Donnie. He is a person who gives himself so selflessly to everyone he knows and it is so inspirational to me and such an example to my children. My mother instilled in me the value of hard work and a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. I cannot leave out WW2 veteran and distance runner Louis Zamperini. If you get a chance, read the book UNBROKEN (not the movie, you have to read the book!) You will be inspired by this man’s incredible journey also! 

Tell us about the friendships you’ve made at Mark Spain Real Estate.

So many! From Sherron, the Director of Sales in Stockbridge before me, to my fellow DOS on the leadership team (they are all amazing!) to my Stockbridge agents. We are professionals but we have a lot of heart for each other, which I think is part of what makes Stockbridge so special. 

What are you looking forward to this year?

This year has been an incredible year for the Mavericks! We had big goals and have run after them. I am really looking forward to this coming year, to growing the team, and reaching all new heights! #maverickmentality!
