In Good Company: Margaret McPhail

Margaret McPhail is an exclusive listing agent from our Raleigh, North Carolina office. She has been with Mark Spain Real Estate since April of 2019. Margaret is a light to our team and was our No. 1 listing agent for the month of July. We are so excited to spotlight her as our September In Good Company member!

Tell us about you, Margaret! Where were you born, what do you enjoy in your free time?

I am certainly a country girl as I was born in Clinton, North Carolina. I really enjoy being outside, gardening, mowing my lawn, and exercising. As long as it is outside, I’m happy! Also, I love to read. I often find myself reading several books at a time. Additionally, I like to write my own short stories and poetry.

When and how did you become a part of Mark Spain Real Estate

I became a part of Mark Spain Real Estate in April 2019. I saw a sign in my neighborhood and then the billboards.  When I came across a Mark Spain Real Estate hiring ad on LinkedIn, I quickly responded.

How long have you been involved in real estate and where?

I have been in real estate for 26 years in Raleigh, North Carolina and the Triangle.

Why Mark Spain Real Estate?

I chose Mark Spain Real Estate because of the people, the team, and our core values. It is a fast-paced, high volume, and we are provided great training. To top all of that off, we get lots of leads! The possibilities for my career are endless working with Mark Spain Real Estate!

What is your favorite part about the people you work with?

They care and help one another. This team truly wants to see everyone succeed.

What have you learned the most from working at Mark Spain Real Estate?

I have learned that I am capable of so much more than I had imagined.

What are your passions in life outside of work?

My greatest passions outside of work include helping and serving my community. Whether it be through my church or my nonprofit organization, helping others in need makes my heartbeat. Encouraging and supporting others is important to my own success. Some of my other passions include staying healthy, eating right, exercising, and taking care of my body. Oh, and I love shopping!

What is a hidden talent that you have?

I published my first book in 2015!

Who inspires you in life?

My mom, dad, Margie, Edward, my son, Kendrick, Oprah Winfrey, Nelson Mandela, and Mother Teresa inspire me…and these are just a few!

Tell me about the friendships you’ve made at Mark Spain Real Estate.

The people I work with are all so amazing! I love Katelyn Fletcher! She is the absolute best! Amy Hiott makes me smile. And Melody Mitchell…Even though we are in different states, I feel like she is just next door. If for some strange and crazy reason, I was no longer at Mark Spain Real Estate, I would still want to hang out with everyone I have met here!

What are you looking forward to this year?

Spending Christmas with my family!
