Tell us about you, Micaela! Where were you born, and what do you enjoy doing in your free time?
I was born and raised in Michigan until I moved to Tennessee for college, where I attended Lee University. During my time at Lee, I was fortunate enough to play college volleyball and earn my Master’s in Business Administration.
Since graduating in May of 2021, I have been able to invest more time into hobbies, such as hiking, cooking, and group fitness classes! I also enjoy spending quality time with my husband, friends, and family!
Micaela, When and how did you become a part of Mark Spain Real Estate?
I became a part of the Mark Spain Real Estate Marketing Team a couple of months ago in April. I discovered this opportunity from a dear friend and now co-worker, Ali Cousins. I am so grateful for the career opportunities available at Mark Spain Real Estate and I have been blown away by the culture of excellence that is maintained company-wide. I am so excited to continue learning and growing alongside such inspirational marketing professionals!
How long have you been involved in real estate and where?
I have moved around many times during my life and have always enjoyed learning about real estate trends. While I haven’t had any previous professional real estate experience, I have loved learning more about the industry! It has been wonderful to soak up knowledge from experienced professionals who have a passion for serving and helping others meet their real estate needs.
Micaela, why did you choose Mark Spain Real Estate?
I chose Mark Spain Real Estate because of how passionate the company is about serving others. Not only do they focus on leading with a servant’s heart, but they also invest in their employees and strive to cultivate a culture of excellence and constant improvement. I am so thankful to be surrounded by a talented group of marketing professionals who constantly cheer each other on to meet our professional and personal goals.
What have you learned the most from working at Mark Spain Real Estate?
Since working at Mark Spain Real Estate, I have learned that the opportunities in my life are endless. Mark Spain Real Estate prioritizes constant growth and improvement and has encouraged me to challenge myself in new ways. I have learned that there are no limits to reaching my goals and how to properly prioritize the most important things in life. The culture of excellence at Mark Spain Real Estate has made a huge impact on my life and I am so excited to continue to learn and improve.
What are your passions in life outside of work?
Outside of work, I am very passionate about living an active and healthy lifestyle. I am constantly reading new books, listening to podcasts, and looking for fun ways to stay active! I have always been passionate about living a healthy lifestyle, but the older I get, the more it has become a hobby of mine!
Who inspires you in life?
My husband, Levi Woods, inspires me. I recently got married in May and I couldn’t be more thankful that God chose me to be his wife. We have been together for three years now and he continues to inspire me daily. He is my biggest supporter and constantly encourages me to be the best version of myself. I am truly honored to have such an amazing partner to experience the rest of my life with.
Tell us about the friendships you’ve made at Mark Spain Real Estate.
I have already made several lasting friendships during my short time at Mark Spain Real Estate. The marketing department has welcomed me with open arms and I have been blown away by their willingness to help me during my transition onto the team. I am so thankful to have already made such wonderful relationships and to be surrounded by such an inspiring group of individuals!
What are you looking forward to this year, Micaela?
I am mostly looking forward to spending quality time with my family this year. I’ve experienced some loss in my life recently and it’s put a lot of things into perspective. Covid prevented a lot of gatherings, but I am hoping that this year will provide more opportunities for longer and more frequent visits. These life transitions have been tough, but it’s allowed me to reflect on how precious time is and how important it is to prioritize the important people in my life!
