CEO and Chairman Mark Spain has been a charter member of the Forsyth County YMCA since it first launched. He has served both on the YMCA board and the executive committee in past years. In addition to this, Spain also has worked with the branch staff leveraging his leadership skills further. We are so grateful to be partners with the YMCA, and to raise money for such an incredible organization!
The YMCA of Metro Atlanta makes a significant difference in the lives of 250,000 individuals in our communities, every day. That’s why Mark Spain Real Estate is proud to come together as a team to support the YMCA. So much more than a gym and a great place to swim, the Y develops vital programs and services for all people in Metro Atlanta to reach their full potential.
What exactly is the Spin-A-Thon? It is an event that raises money to send underprivileged children in the local community to the YMCA Eagle Point Summer Day Camp. For 4 hours of the day, the Mark Spain Real Estate team will hop on exercise bikes and spin to raise money for these kids! Our goal is to raise $30,000. With this goal, we will be able to send over 100 kids to camp! Overall, this event will ensure that more children – regardless of financial ability – have the opportunity to grow, learn and connect at the YMCA Eagle Point Summer Day Camp on Lake Lanier.
The theme for the Spin-A-Thon this year is super heroes! Come dressed in your favorite superhero costume and use your pedaling superpowers to send over 100 kids to summer camp in 2020! The Spin-A-Thon will be held at the Forsyth County YMCA (6050 Y Street, Cumming, GA 30040). The event is on Saturday, March 21st from 8am – 12pm. A $300 donation is highly encouraged and sends one child to camp for one week.
