Our Hiring Process
Our Director of Talent Acquisition, Maria Perry, speaks to 100-125 candidates a week. She and our Talent Acquisition team are looking for the right fit for all roles within Mark Spain Real Estate. We seek to hire top-notch, full-time sales professionals to serve our clients in selling and/or buying a home. Our agents have big goals, and we give them the tools to achieve them.
One of the ways Mark Spain Real Estate narrows the field is by leveraging behavioral assessments for each candidate. This provides information on the candidate’s natural behaviors, work ethic, and a host of other factors to determine whether the candidate is the right addition. Further, we hire those who possess a positive attitude, a firm desire to place clients’ needs above their own, and are solution-minded. In addition, we look for those who are problem solvers, coachable, driven, team-oriented, and competitive. Overall, these qualities lead to success for both the agent and our clients.

Mark Spain Real Estate is grateful to be continuing to actively hire at a time when many businesses have had a hiring freeze or are downsizing due to the pandemic. Since creating the Talent Acquisition team, we have experienced tremendous growth. Between May and August 2020 alone, we hired a total of 133 candidates! With nine offices in Georgia, Raleigh, Charlotte, and Nashville, our Talent Acquisition team is excited to continue growing our team.
Our agents are not only growing their business, but also growing personally. Training, goal-setting, accountability and personal development are ongoing. Our agents are encouraged to read at least 10 business books a year, with suggested lists available from the leadership team.
