In Good Company: The People of MSRE – Brittany Matarazzo

By Mark Spain Real Estate

Brittany Matarazzo was born in Danbury, Connecticut and moved to Georgia when she was 9 years old. She’s been an Atlanta resident for 20 years, and we are so glad she joined our team last fall.

“Brittany is someone I can count on, someone who has a constant smile and spreads positivity through the office; she is always willing to go the extra mile for her clients and her team, and we are lucky to have her,” says Dan Rohde, Director of Administration. We are excited to introduce Brittany Matarazzo for our People of MSRE series!

When and how did you become a part of MSRE, Brittany Matarazzo?

I joined MSRE back in August of 2016. I was a nanny at the time and during the kid’s naptime, I saw an ad come on TV saying they were hiring. I went to the website and submitted everything right then and there! The process was so quick. I met with them three times and in a matter of a few weeks, we were ready to go and I was on board!

Mark Spain Real Estate Highlights Brittany Matarazzo

How long have you been involved in real estate?

I started back in 2010 at Keller Williams after finishing up my life as a Preschool teacher! My old office was looking for a Director of First Impressions, my uncle worked at that office and said they were hiring so I went and applied. Seven years later and here we are!

Why Mark Spain Real Estate, Brittany Matarazzo?

I remember meeting Mark at a Keller Williams Family Reunion years ago and when I heard he went independent, I remember being shocked. When I saw MSRE was hiring, I had a feeling that my background may help with me getting the position, and I wanted to be a part of that team again.

What is your favorite part about the people you work with?

Since I started, I have loved it. Everyone here really is family. I love the culture and going to the events like bowling and volunteering with the YMCA. I think no matter how stressful our day is we can always find time to laugh about something no matter how crazy or stressful it gets. There are days where I’ll stay at work late at night or on the weekends but we always make an event out of it. From Friday night pizza parties to Saturday pajama days, this place is home.

Tell me about the friendships you’ve made at MSRE, Brittany Matarazzo.

I’ve made some of the strongest friendships I’ve had in a long time. We just clicked really quickly and shared similar interests. Because some of us are all the same age, our dynamics are kind of like siblings. We know how to push each other’s buttons but I know that if I ever needed anything, they would be there.

What do you value most about the leadership at MSRE,?

You don’t feel intimidated when talking to anyone; they are constantly wanting to hear new ideas and thoughts. Everyone here is ready and willing to help and they always welcome any questions or comments you may have. People come up to me all the time asking if I know Mark and I say of course!

What are your passions in life outside of work?

Family is so important to me. I am Italian so, naturally, I have a huge family. We love being together for the holidays and just finding time to come together. My mom and I are constantly going to see movies in theaters and go shopping together. My sister is a competitive cheerleader so cheer has been a huge part of my life. I also love to go to the beach and take cruises altogether.

What is a hidden talent that you have?

My family calls me the baby whisperer. For some reason, I can miraculously put any cranky baby instantaneously to sleep. I also happen to be the next Michael Jordan.

Who inspires you in life?

Hands down, my mom is the person who inspires me the most in life. She is a single mom who raised me by herself, worked 3 jobs growing up, and never let me know there were any issues. She always kept any problems or worries she had hidden and let me live a great life. She is definitely my hero.

Is there anything you are looking forward to for this year?

I am looking forward to planning and taking a nice beach vacation. My dream would be to travel to Italy to visit my godmother and spend a month traveling and relaxing on the beach.

Brittany, we are lucky to have you and wish you continued success!
