Communities

Dade County is found in Georgia with a county seat of Trenton. It’s part of the Chattanooga, TN – GA Metropolitan area and provides a home to about 16,600 residents. The county is in the far west corner of the state and bordered by Tennessee and Alabama.

The county is home to three communities, which are Rising Fawn, Trenton, and Wildwood. Dade County is home to many of the area schools including:

  • Dade Elementary School
  • Davis Elementary School
  • Dade Middle School
  • Dade County High School

Trenton also holds the beautiful Cloudland Canyon State Park and the Dade County Courthouse, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Rising Fawn is a smaller community within Dade County that was named after a child of the Cherokee Indians. It has provided a home for a few notable people including May Allison, Norman Blake, The Forester Sisters and Desmond Doss.

Dade County has over 5,600 households throughout and more than 4,200 families residing within it. In short, there are about 6,200 housing units and one third of the households have children under the age of 18. Additionally, about 63% of the homes contain married couples. The average age is 36 and the average family income is just under $40,000.
