Nearly 240,000 residents call Henry County home, and the county seat is McDonough. The county was named after Revolutionary War hero Patrick Henry. Stockbridge is another larger community within the county that provides a few large parks and many of the schools found within the Henry County School District. Hampton is a popular community in Henry and is home to Atlanta Motor Speedway and Henry County Airport. This city is also home to some of the great public schools in Henry County.
