Through the academic and activity programs, they create well-rounded students ready to take on the challenges of high school.
Dress Code
The school does have a dress code and puts an emphasis on both the dress and the grooming of students. This dress code includes:
- No bandana or caps
- No halter tops or spaghetti straps
- No pants that show the naval
- No tank tops or two tank tops
- No see-through clothing
- No clothing with profanity or suggestive designs
- No midriff blouses or skirts
- And other Regulations!
The dress code is enforced to ensure a specific standard for all students found within the Cobb County School System.
Academics
Along with the core programs, Dickerson Middle School provides Advanced Placement for science, language arts and social studies. These advanced programs are offered for students in grades six to eight. Placement tests are available for those coming from outside of Georgia and students much maintain an 80 or above average to stay in the program.
Dickerson Middle School also offers an AP math program for 6th, 7th and 8th grade. This program provides a more challenging type of math and prepares students for AP math classes in high school.
This school is found in Marietta, Georgia and serves around 1,200 students. It’s found in the Cobb County School District and offers some after school programs.
GreatSchools.org rates Dickerson Middle School as a 10 out of 10. The community has given the school a four-star rating, as well. Those living in the Marietta area can send their children to this fine school, if they live within the zoned area. Some choose their neighborhood based upon the zoning for this school.
