Intown Atlanta

Intown Atlanta GA Real Estate

The area known as Intown Atlanta is also called metro Atlanta. This is an area that contains many communities, known as Intown communities. This designation is given to only Downtown and Midtown Atlanta neighborhoods, which are mainly pre-WWII neighborhoods. A few of the included communities are:

  • Grand Park
  • Virginia-Highlands
  • Edgewood
  • Midtown West
  • Cabbagetown
  • Reynoldstown

Along with these neighborhoods, the Intown Atlanta area includes many mixed-use communities with retail, restaurants and entertainment options. Some are high-rise condominium buildings found in the Midtown area. This area of Atlanta offers a lifestyle just about anybody can enjoy.

A Walkable Community

Atlanta is known as a driving city, but many of the Intown Atlanta communities are quite walkable. They are known as sidewalk communities with many dining and entertainment options found within walking distance of the residential areas.

Virginia-Highlands is one of the most popular of the Intown communities. It’s very historic and provides many social activities, shopping and dining very close to the residential areas.

Piedmont Park is another very popular Intown neighborhood and known as the mecca for festivals. This area covers nearly 190 acres of land and provides a large public dog park and plenty of other attractions.

One of the newest of the Intown Atlanta neighborhoods is Atlanta Beltline. This is a well-planned community with plenty of greenspace, public art, housing, trails, parks and transportation. It’s very popular and many have relocated to this area to be closer to Downtown Atlanta.

Real Estate

Many of the homes found in these communities are bungalows and craftsman style homes. This provides a more suburban feel with convenient access to the amenities of the city.

Overall, the Intown Atlanta neighborhoods are known for their suburban feel with access to the entire city. A variety of choices are call Intown Atlanta neighborhoods and they all provide a little bit different feel.
