Morningside

The Morningside neighborhood is an Atlanta neighborhood found to the north of Virginia-Highlands. It’s found between Druid Hills and Ansley Park. There are about 3,500 households found in the area neighborhoods including Morningside.

This neighborhood is very walkable with plenty of beautiful tree-lined streets. It has plenty of curb appeal and character with beautiful landscaping found throughout.

Real Estate

Many of the homes date back to the 1930s and have been maintained very well. They are very heart warming and welcoming homes in a variety of styles including Craftsman and Bungalow homes. The price range for homes is quite vast and there’s something to fit just about any budget.

Schools

The area of Morningside is served by some of the Atlanta Public Schools including:

  • Henry W. Grady High School

There are also a couple of preschools found here, which are Intown Montessori and International Preschools at Virginia Highland.

Neighborhood Association

Morningside has a neighborhood association that helps to preserve the historic characteristic of the area. They work very hard to ensure the area maintains the character and residents have plenty of things to do. Many social events are organized by the MLPA serving the area.

Along with the social events, residents can enjoy a wine stating club, plenty of area restaurants, the annual “Celebration of Summer,” concerts in the park, holiday events and block parties.

This area is also home to over 200 local businesses, which range from coffee shops to local boutiques. These businesses provide residents of Morningside with plenty of things to do, places to go and shopping opportunities.

Overall, this area is one of the better Intown neighborhoods in Atlanta. It’s quite appealing and provides plenty of charm for those choosing to live here. Due to the location and the wide variety of homes, Morningside attracts many different types of homebuyers from families to young professionals.
