Ormewood Park

Ormewood Park Real Estate & Homes

Ormewood Park is found in the southeastern section of Atlanta. This neighborhood is near Grant Park and some will actually mistake Ormewood Park for Grant Park. However, it’s a distinct community of its own and a popular Intown Atlanta neighborhood.

Location

The location of this neighborhood is found between East Confederate Avenue and Moreland Avenue. It’s just south of I-20, which provides easy access to downtown for residents. It’s a short commute for those working downtown and East Atlanta is within walking distance. Other nearby communities include Edgewood and Reynoldstown.

Real Estate

Most of the homes found throughout Ormewood Park are craftsman bungalows, brick cottages and ranch style homes. However, the area is also home to some Victorian homes. Home prices start around $200K and go up to about $500K or a little bit more. Most homes have large porches and provide a place to enjoy the outdoors with neighbors. Many of the homes have been renovated, as well.

Along with single-family homes, the area is home to a mixed-use complex, townhomes and condominiums. The home prices within the area are on the rise, as well.

Popular Streets

If you’re considering the Ormewood Park area for your new home, the most popular streets include:

  • Faith
  • Eden
  • Ormewood Avenue
  • Woodland
  • Glenwood Place
  • Confederate
  • Gilbert
  • Moreland

The new Atlanta Beltline will also run through the area in the future, which will add to the popularity and the home values.

Neighborhood Association

The area is home to an active neighborhood association, which works to support area businesses and residents. They provide beautification efforts, public relations activities and many events throughout the year.

Overall, Ormewood Park is a good place to call home. It’s a neighborhood found close to many of the top Atlanta attractions. The homes are quite affordable and the convenience to downtown is great for those working within the area.
