In Good Company: Edwin Hoover

Edwin Hoover is an exclusive listing agent from our Nashville, Tennessee office. He has been with Mark Spain Real Estate since January of 2020. Edwin has been spotlighted as a top listing agent consecutively over the past few months. We are so excited to spotlight him as our second In Good Company member in August! 

Tell us about you Edwin! Where were you born, what do you enjoy in your free time?

I am a native of Nashville, and I was born at Vanderbilt Hospital. I enjoy just about any outdoor activity and most of all, spending time with my family.

When and how did you become a part of Mark Spain Real Estate?

I joined Mark Spain Real Estate in early January of 2020 while researching different real estate companies. When I had two personality profiles, two phone interviews, and two in-person interviews, I knew this was the place for me. I was vetting them as much as they were vetting me, and it is easy to see why we are #1 in the country.

How long have you been involved in real estate and where?

I have been in the real estate business for over 25 years and have had my Brokers license for over 20 years, all in the middle Tennessee area.

Mark Spain Real Estate was the best cultural, professionalism, and moral fit. The company is unlike any other company in the way everybody is willing to help one another, in what has traditionally been an every person for themselves business. We balance work, mind, body, and spirit. The encouragement from the top of the company down has always been consistent and uplifting.

What is your favorite part about the people you work with?

Again, everybody is willing to help one another. They are uplifting and genuinely interested in you and your success.

What have you learned the most from working at Mark Spain Real Estate?

I have learned the importance of time blocking, how real estate can be fun again, and that if you aren’t running you are rusting. You should always be growing and learning personally and professionally.

What are your passions in life outside of work?

My family is my passion. I come from a large family with lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins. I  grew up spending lots of family time together, eating big meals together.

What is a hidden talent that you have?

That is a good one? Not sure? I have studied to get my pilot’s license, so I can fly a plane. I can also use nunchucks!

Who inspires you in life?

My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

Tell me about the friendships you’ve made at Mark Spain Real Estate.

I have made several new friendships with some amazing people. I was invited on a birthday canoe trip a couple of weeks ago with a group of friends that came from a fellow Mark Spain Real Estate agent.

What are you looking forward to this year?

Wow, this has been a crazy year so far. I am looking forward to my wife and I’s 26yr anniversary this month. I look forward to being able to walk around without a mask on so when I smile at someone they know it and smile back. 🙂 Lastly, I look forward to being able to help as many families with their real estate needs as possible and balancing that with family time!
