New Marietta Director of Sales: Matthew Weeks

Matthew, tell us about you, where are you from, what do you enjoy doing in your free time?

I am from a small town in the Florida panhandle, Niceville. More people are familiar with Destin, Florida, which is the neighboring town! In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family and having date nights with my wife, Marie! Fun fact for those who didn’t know, Marie is a rockstar on our talent acquisitions team here at Mark Spain Real Estate! Social settings are my jam! Some of my hobbies include golfing, fishing, and fast toys. I have a competitive spirit that drives me to push the limits to see what’s possible. I have a big passion for helping my team win and taking on big challenges! 

When and how did you become a part of Mark Spain Real Estate?

I joined Mark Spain Real Estate in August of 2018! I found Mark Spain many years ago as a friend, Chase Wright, was looking to join a real estate team here in Atlanta. At the time, Mark and the team were at Keller Williams and I was also at Keller Williams down in Florida. Searching the KW intranet, I came across some VERY impressive sales numbers that Mark Spain and his team were accomplishing. I connected Chase with the team and a few weeks later he was hired. From that day forward the Mark Spain buzz was in my ear until one Marie and I decided to make the move to Atlanta!

How long have you been in real estate and where?

I am currently licensed in Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. I have been full time in residential real estate since 2012

I want to work for the best! Aligning my values with a company that shares the same values was very important to me. I also saw an opportunity to grow with a company, leaders with the ability, and willingness to grow me both personally and professionally! The culture and people are what truly make Mark Spain Real Estate a special place. Our people have an infectious energy that drives me to be the best version of myself each day! 

Tell us about your recent promotion to Director of Sales, Marietta?

The promotion to DOS was a goal of mine walking in the door on day one at Mark Spain Real Estate. The journey to that seat was fun, challenging, and rewarding! Mark Spain Real Estate has really blessed me with some great coaches and mentors to support me in achieving the goal. Sara Archambeau, Director of Sales, Alpharetta, led the charge in coaching me up to this promotion – I cannot thank her enough for the time, effort, and energy she has spent on me. John, Cindy, James, Lisa, and many of our current Directors of Sales have always been there to help guide me and cheer me on as well – thank you all! Most of all, the agents allowed me to help guide and mentor them and they are the real brave ones in all of this – big thank you for trusting in me!

Leading others to unlock their maximum potential is my main focus in the new role! Marietta is a special office within the company, being our first expansion office and home to some of our most tenured agents within Mark Spain Real Estate. Being a part of Marietta is a great honor and privilege and I am looking forward to serving our agents and clients to the absolute best of my abilities!
