She has extensive experience in broadcast, radio and cable media, and we look forward to growing our company and marketing strategies with her on our team.

Tell us about you, Ann Marie! Where were you born, what do you enjoy in your free time?

I was born in Decatur, GA, but raised in Stone Mountain and I graduated from UGA! After graduation, I moved for work to Birmingham, AL, then to Grand Rapids, MI, and ultimately to Charlotte, NC. Most of my career has been in Sales and Sales Management in Broadcast TV, cable, and radio. I will be moving back to Georgia, where all my family still resides, to join the Mark Spain Real Estate family in person. In my free time, I love to read, spend time with family and friends dining, golfing, and boating in the mountains, at the lake or beach. I love being outdoors.

When and how did you become a part of Mark Spain Real Estate?

I worked with Mark Spain Real Estate on the station side, where I managed a local sales team. I was fascinated by the people, culture, and technology at Mark Spain Real Estate. As a result, I was thrilled to accept an offer to join Mark Spain Real Estate this year. I am excited to use my media experience to help the company negotiate strategic media buys across all channels. I have learned a lot in my journey so far, and I’m excited to work with our team to serve even more families in selling their homes faster, for more, and hassle-free.

My values align with the Mark Spain Real Estate culture, and the company is growing rapidly. I am excited about learning and growing with the business while also supporting the company’s lead generation goals with my extensive background on the sales and station side of broadcast TV. 

What is your favorite part about the people you work with?

As the Chief Marketing Officer at Mark Spain Real Estate, Alisha is focused and direct, but kind, graceful, and intelligent! I am super thankful for everything Alexander Boza did for me while I was supporting Mark Spain Real Estate on the station side, and he has continued to support me as I have joined the Mark Spain Team. I’ve enjoyed watching the Mark Spain Real Estate leadership team in action over the last year, and the culture at Mark Spain Real Estate is contagious. 

What are you looking forward to as you begin at Mark Spain Real Estate?

I am excited about meeting the rest of the Mark Spain Real Estate team and working together to grow Mark Spain Real Estate in every market we serve and in future markets.

What are your passions in life outside of work?

Family, friends, my church, and spirituality. I like to work out, golf, anything that involves water (skiing, boating, tubing etc.) and volunteering. I cannot wait to learn more about the Mark Spain Foundation and how I can contribute to make an impact in the communities we serve.

What is a hidden talent that you have?

Prior to COVID-19, I did not love cooking but I have learned during quarantine and I’m creative in the kitchen. My boyfriend is my guinea pig. We love to enjoy a good wine with dinner and look forward to future opportunities to cook with our friends.

Who inspires you in life?

People and relationships! I have learned over the years to become a better listener. Everyone sees and hears from a unique perspective. If you start a relationship with no assumptions and listen, it is amazing what you will experience. I am a lifelong learner.

What are you looking forward to this year?

Moving back to Atlanta to be with my family and reuniting with life-long friends. My best friend lives on Lake Hartwell and while it is still a bit outside of the Atlanta area, I will be closer than I am now in Charlotte. I also look forward to learning and growing with the incredible people at Mark Spain Real Estate.
