About Denver
The town of Denver, North Carolina is located on the east end of Lincoln County with a population of 3,261. The history of Denver predates the Revolutionary War to a time when the area was home to the native Catawba Indians. The Denver community sits on the west shores of Lake Norman, just north of Charlotte, North Carolina. The recent growth of Charlotte has fueled significant development of the surrounding communities, including Denver. Lake Norman is a popular recreational destination, attracting thousands of visitors a year for fishing, swimming, and boating. Denver is also home to the historic Rock Springs Camp Meeting, an annual gathering that has taken place in the town since 1830.
